Hot & Cold Vinyasa with Surprises, Warm Yin
Hi, I'm Scott but you can call me Pickles! I’m an E-RYT 500 YACEP teaching traditional vinyasa yoga blended with healthy doses of humor and yogic philosophy. My nontraditional, improvisational teaching style has earned me a dedicated following not only on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, but also all along the East Coast and online. Attention to the yogic lineage, Sanskrit and alignment are paramount, but so are levity and playfulness. My classes are energetic, interactive and fun, the kind in which you laugh all the way through and cry at the end. I call it Honest Yoga.
I received my 220-hour yoga teacher certification through the Amalam School of Yoga on the Outer Banks and my 300-hour certification through Alanna Kaivalya in New York City. I have countless additional certifications and continuing education credits through Integral Yoga and other fellow teachers.
A native of the Jersey Shore, I have lived on the Outer Banks for 25 years, raising four wonderfully kind children, selling produce and contributing to the community in many ways. I came to yoga later in life and am now all in, living the yoga lifestyle to the fullest and enthusiastically sharing what I have learned with others.

Rise & Shine Vinyasa
A Kentucky native, I moved to the Outer Banks in 2023. My yoga practice had been brief and inconsistent, never expanding out of poses I could and could not do…little did I know when I moved, it was time for yoga. I completed my 200-hr. YTT through the Scott Lawlor Yoga Academy in 2024 and started my teaching journey. Yoga reacquainted me with myself, offered me freedoms in my mind and body that I did not realize I was missing, and gave me another art to share with others. Can’t wait to see you on the mat. Peace, love, and light.

Sarah Pache
Heat Waves Dynamic Vinyasa
Sarah teaches an all-levels dynamic Vinyasa class that is playful, welcoming, and accessible to everyone. She believes yoga should feel good and never take itself too seriously, creating an environment where students feel comfortable exploring movement—whether it’s their first class or their hundredth.
Sarah began her yoga journey in 2018 while working in a corporate office, where long hours at a desk led her to seek both physical relief and mental balance. Through yoga, she discovered not only freedom in her body but also a sense of calm and clarity that helped balance the constant demands of daily life.
She graduated from Scott Lawlor Yoga Academy in 2024 and now shares her practice with others while continuing to pursue deeper levels of balance, joy, and fulfillment both on and off the mat.
